    Toe guard removal question?

On the inside of the swingarm, Is it fixed by a bolt or a rivet?

I just recently got an '01 Mille and the toe guard is hanging off since the paddock stand / crash bobbin was sheared off in a lowside.
I can't really remove the wheel for a better look until I fit a new bobbin.

    Thanks.

It's held on with a wee allen bolt

    Cheers for the reply Pat,

Can't seem to get any purchase on it with the allen keys though. Perhaps a PO replaced it with a rivet due to damaged threads.
Guess I'll just have to wait to get the wheel off.

If the bobbin fastening has sheared off, you may be lucky and have one of them bobbins fastenings that has the allen key at the other end of the stud. I was able to access mine with an allen key from the inside of the swing arm with out taking the rear wheel off. I had initially attempted to try and drill the stud out, without much success bt, before finding out there was an allen key location at the other end!

No Ian mine was a standard bolt i think. I drilled out the bolt but wasn't able to save the threads. So I drilled it out to 6.3, tapped it M8 and popped in an M6 helicoil. Worked a treat.
