4L owner why to go for 4V?

I am talking about track and only track.
I ride cbr1000rr 2008 full devil factory, bazzaz, sbk suspension, carbon, suter clutch, beringer brakes.
There is anybody here that could tell me why rsv4 could be faster on track?
if is about power than dont waist you time.
    any input is welcome

btw- I rode also a rsv factory on track. not bad.

Well mate, from another one like yourself, who actually owns a 2008 `blade, I would say that the RSV4 would probably be quicker on the track because of the fact that it has been designed to be closer to the full-on race bike than the `blade has, which has apparently been designed with more of an eye on the road-rider........

This is when both bikes are stock, of course, as it`s pointless comparing bikes that have been modified, as the mods can make all the difference.

I understand that but technically nobody can explain?
    rear tire grip
    front tire grip
    crank shaft wideness
    rear slip
    things like these

I intend to put - pistal pistons on it. maybe. all the mods because I am afraid of not having enough power

Flick-ability, line holding, precise turn in, predictability, corner exit speed all better than my blade

    not to mention fun factor

i don't have any corner shots to show you on the V4, the last time on track the photographer didn't show up!

Just imagine sideways action rear wheel drifts, smokin it up out of corners, you know, that kind of thing!

I think the Honda is first and foremost designed as a road bike. Even with Fireblades, only a tiny fraction of them ever see the track. And the 08/9 Blade is a highly competent road bike.

Aprilia, on the other hand, have design ethos which is more closely informed by their competition division. HRC are very hived off from the rest of Honda, at Aprilia they are all in the same building. The V4 feels like it should be on the track all the time, the Blade is a superb all rounder IMO.

I would therefore imagine the V4 carries more corner speed and is possibly more stable on faster bends. I've ridden both, but sadly the V4 only for a very limited time and in crap conditions. Surely the answer to your question is to take a V4 for an extended test ride? It wont tell you everything but it will give you a clue.

    very nice answer
    thank you
I want to know if I can pull the throttle a bit earlier without spinning the rear tire.
second - the feeling on front tire is much better?

The blade is a great bike but i agree a better road than track bike, the V4 just feels at home on the track and makes it feel very easy to go fast.

I agree, My V4 feel so much faster than my 07 R1 on track, less on the edge of the bike more on the edge of the rider, One guy we run with is faster on his stock V4 than his tracked GSXR.

I currently have a 06 factory from new which i love and i am completely dialled into. Can the rsv4r or the rsv4 factory really tempted me away from my rsv factory, apart from the horse power and engine configuration is it really that good ? Looking for some thoughtson the matter

I have a mate that is a very quick track rider (pretty much super stock times on most tracks) he had a tricked up GSXR, he is quicker on his V4 straight out of the box, he is also 6'4" and has no problem with room.
