    RSV4 APRC 1st RIDE

    Done my 1st 100miles today,
Anyone thinking of getting 1 of these, go get it you wont be disappointed.

The best way to describe it is a blue printed factory, not just engine but the standard ohlins set up is also better on the road, more forgiving and softer, they must have used pukka ohlins internals for this 1.
The bike just feels sharper and very responsive, very fast not sure if that's down to the 1st 3 gear ratio change or the power is indeed up, we will find that out over the next week or 2 on the dyno.
Q shifter is very slick as is the gear box in general. Anti weelie works! so i turned that straight off

Launch control works as you would expect. Roads are cold and a little slippery so tc was usefull, felt it kick in a couple of times set on 7 and i was keeping her under 10k but 1st impressions are,
I'm in love all over again!

Covered almost 5400 miles on my Aprilia RSV4R including a good few track days, never loved a bike so much and then came the RSV4 APRC, well just had to get my hands on one, so order placed last week, now just waiting. I feel from what I have heard that the wait will be well worth it. They say now there are only 37 coming to the UK, which will make it a very rare tool indeed.

Yes your right price is 17K plus on road fees for the RSV4Factroy Special Edition with APRC. When I went to enquire at our local dealer on the last Friday of October they were informed by Aprilia UK that only 37 will come to the UK and not the 50 as advertised in the press, plus when we asked about availability they stated at that time 33 were already allocated to customers don't know if that means end customers or retail outlet, either way I bagged one of the remaining 4, now just waiting for delivery. But if the write up in this week's MCN is anything to go by it should be brilliant.

Good on ya guys. I put in an order with the dealer I bought my RSV4F from 2 to 2 1/2 weeks ago, he has been pushing the importer everyday but not getting any feedback from them. Sounds like none are coming here so I am pretty pissed about that as well. The dealer said he could go another route to get one, but I said no they can get stuffed. I even emailed the importer direct and nothing back. If you want anything for your bike you might as well forget with these importers. I love my Aprilia, just had a guts full of our importer, enough so that my next bike probably won't be an Aprilia. Just wish I was able to email Italy so I could tell them what I think of the importer and not sending any APRC's to New Zealand. Any way I am sure you guys will get loads of enjoyment from your new bikes.

Necroscope, sounds like you have had a tough time. That said an Importer is one thing and a Dealer another, if I were you I would put all the pressure on the Dealer. You say he is willing to try another route, if that's right then let him try, don't have ago at him, he appears to want to help, I guess he also needs your business. If it were me I would sit back have a couple of beers put the pressure on the Dealer to come up with a bike for you and I would not bother concerning myself about the Importer. Don't give up on the APRC because of one ineffecient Importer, as the bike is so limited in supply it's worth going for let the Dealer come up with one for you, any which way he can, his problem not yours.
