    Speedo sensor

Where is it? I've found something near the rear caliper, reason I ask is will changing the ratio of the sprockets affect the speedo reading?

On mine (I'm assuming yours is the same), the sensor is mounted in the rear caliper mounting bracket. Changing the sprockets won't affect it as it measures the speed of the rear wheel.

Changing the gearing only affects bikes where the speedo sensor is on the gearbox sprocket.

Rich is right wavey, won't make an iota of difference on your speedo readings as it's mounted by the useless rear brake caliper. Change your gearing to increase the grin factor

Come to think of it, maybe thats why the caliper is there, too protect the speed sensor, as its bloody useless as a rear brake.

yep its there to act as a big heatsink to keep the sensor cool in summer making the speed rating acurate
