    running problem

right i have seemed to of developed a problem, i now seem to have a slight missfire/hesitation, now and again at low revs (but not all the time).
It was there when i brought the bike but traced it to the alarm which is now off of the bike, once that was off it has run fine for a year but now seems to have started again.

i have done the full service check the valve gaps, changed plugs, leads, oil and filter, air filter, checked all the pipes and all seem ok.

I have found small cracks in the tb's rubber mounting plates but would of thought that if that was the problem would be there all the time.

    Any thoughts would be greatfull.

You seem to have covered most of the potential causes of your problem. The bike could develop a misfire/hesitant if there is an airleak. Since you say you've seen some small cracks in the T/B mounting plates, I would start there. Dirty injectors?
My bike developed a misfire/hesitant between 3-4k rpm and it took me a year to find the cause. I took it three times to Southerncross who couldn't find what the problem was. In the end, by chance, I discovered it was a coil making a bad connexion with the plug. The clue was the color of the plug end (where it connects the coil). Good luck

It could be the injector's. Injector cleaner could help and wouldn't do any harm. Does it only occur during the cold winter?

is this the lead that goes to the spark plug?...are they removable? (from the coil)

Yes it is. I belive they are removable but in my case it only needed to make a good connexion with the plug. When I disconnected it from the plug, this had signs of misfires. I assume the lead came a bit loose due to vibrations. Also when the bike got warm, the V reading would drop from 13.2V to 12.7V (at the dash) for no apparent reason. Once fixed the lead, the bike ran, and still running, like a champ and I get 13.3/4V rock solid at the dash at all times. It is a good idea to spray some WD-40 on the leads from time to time.
