    Arrow Exhausts Help

Got a set of shotgun Arrow exhausts & I'm having trouble fitting them if i fit them in the correct position on the bike the bottom springs are at 45 degrees & the can strap wont line up with the hanger. Is there a special hanger for these or have I got the wrong exhausts. The hanger in the picture was made for OEM can. Any help much appreciated.

I have the Aprilia shot guns on mine and I have a different hanger to yours. I also have the original exhaust and another hanger to which I believe the hanger in your picture belongs to.
Hope this picture below helps you if you can see the hanger?

P.S Yellow is a faster colour hence No.46's favourite colour lol :-)

Thanks guys, that's cleared things up. I see your retaining springs are at 45 degrees as well & you used a different hanger to standard. My ali hanger was made to be the same as standard fitment. I've now butchered it to fit & will have my mate weld it up tomorrow.
    Cheers.

    Will do thanks.
Also got a chip to go with it, never opened the ECU, is it obvious where it goes, also heard you have to unplug the ECU before I change the chip and earth myself or wear rubber gloves or I could fry it with static. Is this correct.
    thanks

Not done a chip on this bike mate. Yes it will be obvious where it goes, unplug your battery terminals and unplug ECU and remove from bike. Yes earth your self out on a radiator or something similar that goes to earth. Open up your ECU and once you have found your chip remove with equal pressure from both ends so not to damage the chip as you remove and also the housing that the chip is located in. Try not to use magnetic screw drivers or anything magnetic near the ECU. There should be a little notch on the chip you are removing at one end, if so take note of which end the notch is and where it is pointing to. Again earth your self as a precaution and fit new chip with the notch pointing in the same direction as the old one. As you push down on the new chip apply even pressure all round so the chip seats its self in evenly. You will see the legs of the chip disappear into the housing which should be about 3-4 millimetres. At this point the chip shouldn't go in any further. Job done reassemble the ECU and fit back on the bike.

Hope this helps mate, good luck.

    Rich ;-)

    Hi Mate

There's a how to on here by DrRossi that spells out how to change your eprom with pictures. I was a bit paranoid about it, thinking it would be easy to screw it up, but had no problems at all. I've got the same exhausts as you with the DrRossi chip on a yellow 2000 and it's great.

    Regards

    Dave
