Looks good! I do like the way the gold chains look. Always nice to read about someone enjoying their bike, we all know the feeling and it brings it out to read someone else having it!!

Yeah I did mine the other day too, and your right...SO much smoother at slow speeds. Still taking it steady tho' so cant comment much on the improved acceleration side yet.

read somewhere that the gearing is different on later models? Mine is an 07 Also, how much affect does this have on the speedo, does any one know? Damn those speeds cameras to hell, wouldnt want to have to do too much math as well as watch the birdie all the time .......

those stealth sprockets do look nice

    Standard Gearing

    1998 to 2003 RSV Mille and Mille R 17t front 42t rear
2003.5 to 2008 RSVR and Factory 16t front 40t rear

It's the best mod you can do. Drop one tooth off the front, then try two up on the rear , new 110 link chain required for earlier 1998 to 2003 bikes, standard chain is fine on later bikes. Changing these bike's gearing does not effect the speedo as the sensor measures the rear wheel speed.

speedo sensor is on the swingarm not the gearbox so speedo stays true whatever the gearing

Having problems riding round town and rolling on the throttle ,really jerky more than usual , been reading throttle bodies syncing ,chain sprocket mods.
    Any advice out there ?

Did some town riding on my 2008 RSVR the other day, it was horrendous.
Constantly riding the clutch because of the daft 1st gear.
I've heard all sorts of gearing connotations mentioned.
    16/44 or 15/42 etc.etc.
What is the best or most popular?

I have a 2009 RSV1000R, and for me, dropping the front sprocket down one tooth to 15 was enough. I ride around town, but I did it for the twisties, as I felt that the gears were too widely spaced.
