    Homer Uwe Airbox Kit

I'm seriously thinking of ordering one the the Homer Uwe airbox kits including BMC filter though they are fairly expensive but they are considered the best

Badger, you've fitted this kit to your bike. Is there really any noticeable increase in mid range performance?

My other option is to do the job myself, having looked at some of the home made airboxes from Steve and Sprocker. Guys what were your thoughts. More mid range, more top end power? How much increase in intake noise was there?

I think i would rather keep the original airbox base and go the sealing ring route maybe using some car door or boot seal. Has anyone done this? What car door seal did you use? Any specific glue needed to secure the seal to the airbox? Any tips?

The less intake noise the better, i prefere to hear the exhaust note, so i think that puts the Renegade kit out. The other option is the Evo kit but i'm not sure how good the seal is going to be on this.

    Any feedback greatly received

Hmmm i want an airbox kit too, but to be honest my main reason is noise more so than power, after all the newer shape rsv has so much grunt and power over the old one there is no real need for any extra horses..."thats right aint it little1"...

Legs , if you dont want noise then avoid the rene personally i like the boom boom box of the rene but i cant comment on the badger mod til ive seen and heard sprocker's As for power i would say there is more at the top end when its snorting like a good un sucking all the air in it can take and the noise is very loud but it dont kill the sound of the akra so really its a case of getting up close and hearing one for yourself i guess
My homemade rene was not the easiest of jobs and im guessing the badger one is easier , but after spending a whole weekend fitting and re fitting mine it was very well worth it and the effort i put into it

Haven't had chance to test mine yet Legs but it was piss easy to do and probably took about an hour to do the fitting and about ten minutes embarrassment in the supermarket checkout buying the vaseline

Simple answer to this one legs, the Evo one is the same idea but does not carry it out as well as mine I.E. does not seal that well, basically the foam offers better sealing as it can be trimmed to fit, it does exactly the same as the Evo kit, but with a perfect seal and for about a fiver, i ran it for 18k on my 01R with no problems whatsoever, my link is on the RSVR.net Technical section, if you need help just ask.

Oh, and yes you will notice the difference quite a lot, the Mille needs more air than the standard box allows.
