    corroding forks

hmmm..... my forks are corroding, not the inner shaft but the outer casing, so bad infact the black it chipping off and the ali under is flaking, didnt notice as the person I bought the bike off covered it with stick on carbon effect crap, wierd thing is my bikes only done 16k.....been told by my garage that itl be a advisory next time on the mot, now obviously the best idea would be to buy ohlins replacement but im skint so just need the standard ones, anyone got any or know of somewhere I could get a pair? apart from egay that is...

It shouldn't be an issue for the MOT unless it affects the performance of the suspension...
I think your garage is talking shite...

My forks were badly corroded when I bought the bike and was the first thing I changed. I believe mine was down to the previous owner keeping the bike outside.

what I will say about the forks is that there starting to crack on the outside, so spose he thought it would effect the performance if it got worse, though its not leaking oil at the mo which is a good sign lol...yes mark have those forks off u, ill call u tomoz to pay for them )
