    Fuel pump cost?

Would anyone on the forum know the cost of a new fuel pump, my bike has an intermittent problem and if tapped it works again. I'm just trying to get a rough cost, I have seen them advertised but the cost is around 400. Could I be seeing things wrongly? Or is this an OEM part price. Even if anyone knows of a mod or any pattern part for sale. Is the pump, fuel filter immersed in the fuel or in a dry compartment in the tank, the manual does not make it clear.

    Thanks

There's quite a few folk on here breaking bikes at the moment ...so hang in there for a bit, but also post in the wanted section.

What year fella? Got both variants, 45 delivered UK.

    They're "wet" in the tank.

Hi may be worth checking the electrics leading to it. I had something similar on a triumph once and it was a faulty cable proved by waggling it. It was a triumph car BTW That said I think if you say change chips for example it affects the fuel pump ... Well the test for if they are fitted correctly is to listen for the fuel pump. That said cant hurt to have a spare at a good price. Got mine off the bay a while back

I have just bought one from ebay for 50 hi flatlander I am almost 100% sure it's the pump I don't think it's the wires as when I tap the pump when I turn the ignition on it starts working. I have checked the wires and wiggled them while switching the ignition on I get no priming noise. If I have the same fault when the replacement pump is fitted I will get someone to kick me up the arse then look at the wires and the solenoid. thanks anyway for the advice.

I was wondering why you spent 50 on a pump from an obscure Ebayer when I've offered you one for 45 delivered?
