    Belly Pan

I've got a 2009 RSV 1000 R, and to be quite frank, the lower fairing arrangement is far from ideal, with the engine heat distorting the join between the two parts, and being a right fiddle to remove and refit to the bike. What I thought would be better is a one-piece belly pan, but I can't seem to find any for the last of the Gen 2s. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

I'd say a race item would be 1 piece maybe line it with heat reflector sheet or wrap the headers

I'm not quite sure if I've understood you correctly, apologies if I haven't, but it sounds as if you're splitting the two sections of the belly-pan to remove it? I always remove mine complete, as one piece, remove the mid-fairing side panels, then four allen bolts out of the belly-pan, pop it off the mounts, gently lower to the ground, rotate slightly and remove from the side.

I have no problems removing and replacing the fairings...done it many times. Due to engine heat, my lower fairing is distorted and even has a hole in it (the insulator on the exhaust fractured). So, I thought it would be better to replace it with a one piece item, if they are available.

I thought it was the side panels that were one piece, not the belly pan itself. Isn't there still a join at the bottom?

Yea but it is a much more solid design I've never had any problems and it's been apart a lot. Sorry I misunderstood what You ment I thought it was the join in the panels that was causing you issues.

I'll have to have a closer look at an early Gen 2 to see if it's any better, and if there are any differences in the fittings.

If you don't have access to a bike I can take a few snaps of the mounting points on mine.
