Is the starter actually engaging Mr Milleboy squire? Have you checked the connection on the starter itself?

And you connected the leads to the back of the new relay in the same positions as previously? Not inadvertently swapped them? Checked the voltage on the dash from the battery? Both of the 30A fuses ok?

Sorry to say but if it's just the starter motor spinning over and not the engine then it must be your sprag clutch at fault.

I am pretty sure that Spoonz can advise you on how to carry out this repair, alas I have not had to do mine yet (Touch wood).

I wouldn't have thought you'd have got the leads round the wrong way unless you changed the direction the relay is facing. As you are stood facing the rear of the bike looking at the battery, the lead from the positive goes to the right, the lead from the negative to the left. You have the block plug connector reconnected yes?

I'm guessing from what you've said so far the starter isn't spinning up?

the relay is defo in correct and the little 30 amp fuses are sound ive unplugged the tilt switch to see if that would make any difference and it doest still the same noise,

The noise sounds like its comin from the top of the bike if that helps,

Is the noise you are hearing the fuel pump by any chance? Have you tried shorting across the relay terminals to see if the starter engages squire?

Back to basics, check to see if the wire has come off of the starter motor, and recheck the voltage coming from the battery sir

Remove the offside (left if you are stood looking at the front of the bike) centre panel and the starter is located towards the front mid way down from the top of the bike. You'll see a thick wire running to it and should have a rubber boot over it. Life the boot and check that the wire is still connected.

get it on charge, the battery is flat. should be over 13v. charge it and try again, or put a set of jump leads on it from the car.
