    fairing bolts? what/where are they?

I would prolly call them snap bolts, twisty lock bolts, or something like that . What's the name of those particular bolts on 2000 mille. I lost 3 and i fucking hate to hold my fairing in the wind especially while next to pigs. lol I like the easy bolts I definitely need to use vinyl washers so I won't lose them again I have 3 missing and I don't have much budget for fancy stuff. I will prolly get them from a bolt store. they look like Build Your Own furniture bolts. What are they called where can I get them in a local store (lowes and homedepot don't carry them) without getting ripped off.. I will paint them so they can be anything with the special threads on them. thanks

hey SY as STL says above - you should be able to source them off ebay in the US and all bike shops and mail order bike accessories shops should carry them.

C'est une taxe imposée par les residents de la perfide Albion.
You could always try the V60 website in France for Aprilia Owners (it is in French, alors il faudra que tu t'y mettes un jour si tu vis la bas).

Salut Troudumille (Sorry could not resist).
Tu cause Francais comme un vrai rostbif.
Your best bet is to get someone over here to order them for you and then get them to send them over if 6 quid is that much of a big deal.
I do appreciate that bikes and parts are far more expensive in France anyway (most Brits believe that bikes disintegrate after having covered 5K miles: mine has done 45K miles BTW), especially second hand bikes seem to hold their value more on the continent (maybe it's because there are less of them, it's the same in scandinavia and also in OZ: less bikes means higher prices).
Si t'as des potes en France qui en veulent aussi ça vaut peut etre le coup d'en commander un lot.

I was offered shipping for 5,99 to Finland for 14pcs of DZUS Black Fairing Bolts (14Set) APRILIA RSV MILLE Quick lock type. on Fleabay.

So it would be total of 36GBP 41Eur and i am hesitating...

2nd hand bikes have become cheaper here in Finland. Rules and taxes have been loosen last few years and it is quite common to get 2nd hand bike e.g. from Germany.
There are companies specialized to this kind of trade. Its only good for us more competition usually reduces prices...

    Talking Salut Monsieur Berger

Looks like the mille modifications might have to wait for the snow to melt.

Good to hear your prices have finally dropped. I was looking to emigrate to Finland back in 2000 and the prices then did not make sense. At least you get a proper winter up there.

I saw on news that you lads in UK had your share of winter today as well...

Yes we have winter again has been on cold side for couple of weeks now from -4 to -20 centigrade so no riding here...

Postage to UK was 2.99 so that is not an issue. Just wondering weather the quick lock is handy or not and can i leave her unattended cause opening the fairing is made so easy

JESUS i never thought puying stupid bolts would cost that much . I totally forgot that I own an Italian Aircraft/masterpiece!! lol thank you guys I'm seriously considering about converting the right side into regular hex bolts or making my own bolts since I could save some bolts and have easy access on the left for adding oil. or should I use Build Your Own furniture Bolts from a bolt Store lol since I'm cheap! or wait I could possibly Mc Gyver this dilemma out with something at the 99 cents store. thanks for your replies while refreshing my French lingo. Merci beaucoup

PS. update I'm getting some from OZMILLE! thank you very much my friend you made my day!

IME one of the best investments is having standard/stainless fairing bolts as when you come to remove them, you won't have any dramas.

My OH has a Kwak which costs £35 for 7 fairing bolts and cups, but when you come to remove the side fairing you won't find them seized into the mounts having to use a diamond dremmel to get them out .... grrrrrrrrrrrrr !
