    Thanks all clutch helpers

Having had no neutral I took all the advice and ordered my 0.4 valve. Fitted it today as follows.
Found the old valve. Undid the old valve. Tried cocktail stick no good. Tried bit of wire no good. Had another cup of tea and had two mates round for their advice no good. Trying to clean the oil out of the way with a cotton wool but it just came out. Moral of story. If at first you dont succeed have another cup of tea.
Results are disappointing. I can find neutral but still a lot of messing around to find it. Hope I will get better at it with time.

Thanks to everyone for the help.

have you adjusted the actuating rod on the clutch lever as it seems to me as the plates arent actually disengaging.

Does the clutch drag at standstill.

my old CBR used to be a bitch to find neutral one quick blip of the throttle and away she went in.

    Hi,
No had several people ask that. Everything else is fine. It is now better than it was but having had 3 triumphs which worked like sowing machines it is a bit of a piss off. However I have an Aprilia and I will live with the problems as it is the bike that god rides

Has this ever happened to you? You arrive at a set of traffic lights and stop. Then you spend time pissing about trying to find neutral to give your left hand a rest. Then eventually, after much dancing about on the gear change lever you find neutral.Oh the feeling of joy. Nano second later lights change to green!!!

If you ever come off a ferry and a Benelli or Aprilia rolls up to the passport control you can see the guy go up and down looking for neutral and usually give up and turn the bike off.

Whilst he's doing that the customs guy tuts and drums his fingers on the desk comtemplating sending you for an internal drugs examination for wasting his time and causing a 300 yardd queue behind you.

    2 morals to that story.

    1. Make sure your in neutral as you approach and push the last few yards if you have to

    2. if you plan to have drugs up your bottom on a ferry don't ride a Benelli or Aprilia.
