    Slipper clutch

I have just realised something, or I think I have.

Does my 2000 mille have a slipper clutch? I think the diaphram inside the cover is a vacuum fed release for the slipper, is this correct? Does it get the vacuum from the inlet manifold?
Anyone have a good description of its operation and are there any adjustments or checks I need to do other that make sure the vacuum is good?

If it hasn't got a slipper clutch you could fit one from a 02

Yes it has a very basic "vacuum" operated slipper clutch, its not adjustable.
There is a y piece hose from the throttle bodies that goes into a single hose with a one way valve in it from there in goes into the diaphram in the clutch basket.
To check its working blow through the one way valve both ways , if it passes air in both directions its broken and needs replacing.
Also it wont work if you "blip" the throttle on down changes
