Bloody bike, I want to burn it!!

I get the feeling my Mille is really trying to test my patience!
Had to replace the sprag, managed to do it, put everything back together, started her up and she fired into life first time, the beautiful sound of my v-twin.
Everything looked ok, so I put the rest of the plastics on and rolled her off the bench, started her up again and there was oil peeing out everywhere from the cover that had been removed to do the sprag.
So I check the tightness of the bolts, everything looks cool, still oil leaking out.
Hence I take the cover off to see if there's a bigger problem, can't see anything wrong, put it all back together with another new gasket, fired her up, can't see any oil leaking, so I put all the plastics back on.
Wheel her off the bench again, feeling happy with myself.
That was last night, this morning I get ready for a ride, start her up, just about to pull off when I look down, and lo and behold, oil p**sing out again!

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to why this is happening, and how I can stop it?

i feel the same about my bike.

i buy the bike. i replace the chain and sprockets - 210. i use the bike it burns oil. i replace the oil - 40. it still burns oil. i replace the clutch diaphram - 30. it works. i get out and the clutch goes soft. i also now have a puncture. WTF!!! cant i go on one ride on my new bloody bike without it breaking!

i also started it this morning at the garage after refuelling and it makes the worst crunch sound you have heard in your life. FFS if the sprag goes i AM going to burn the fucker.

anyway, rant over, all i can suggest is to use some gasket sealant as well as the case gasket just to be sure. it could be that the gasket is falling off the lip everytime you try to put the thing back together. excess oil maybe?

And you need a smear of sealant round the rubber grommet that the generator wires run through.

Is getting so frustrating, with this lovely weather I just wanna ride her! Having to use my other bike at the moment, which is nowhere near as much fun!

check the oil pipes - it may be that one is slightly split and with the plastics on it may be opening it up just enough to spray oil under pressure ......... maybe

Found the problem, the oil was coming out of the rubber bit with the electric wires running through it.
Put some sealant on it and job's a goodun
    Cheers guys

Double check its seated correctly as you shouldnt need any sealant. It took me 2 or 3 attempts to get it seated properly as it moved everytime I tried to put the cover on, in the end I used my good old superglue to hold it in place.

If it has a stainless steel oil tank check that out as they sometimes crack at one of the mounting points.
