    '02 yellow RSVR

Looks like I'll be giving the biking up for a bit. So very short of money, so the bike has to go.

Anyone interested in my '02 yellow RSVR. 30k ish miles. bit tatty to some (but still in good nick), but well worth the moneys. As it stands its over heating when standing still. so ether I spend some time in the garage and sort that, or you can have it off me for offers over 1,800. or as it is for that or a bit less?

Engine is standard and unmolested, new rubber, good nick apart from faded carbon bits and a crack here and there.

Im in Frome Somerset. Well worth a look if your after a cheap rocket ship!

Im not looking to sell it for someone else to split it and make money, I can do that!! Buying must want to use it, not split it!

Aww sorry to hear that man good luck with the sale. Maybe you should list the spec, mods etc. 2STROKE was looking at getting an RSVR instead of his std RSV, might be worth messaging him? Cant remember where`s he`s based mind.
    All the best

    just break it..horrible i know but you'd recoup good money on just the wheels 500/forks 450/shock 200/steering damper 100/discs 80 /etc etc

Hope you don't mind me putting my 2p worth in, having broken a couple of Milles? Whilst when you add up the component parts you'll get more than selling the complete bike, you need to take into account they'll take ages to sell (still got bits 4 months later from my 1st one), Ebay fees are a killer (10-15% on average), so many people mess you about ("didn't receive" the item, suddenly can't afford it, slightest flaw is "miss described" etc). You'll need a warm garage, plenty of storage space, shell out for packing materials, large boxes which are surprisingly hard to get hold of. Days spent wrapping parts & organising postage. Ebay is really protective towards buyers, sellers can't leave bad feedback so you will end up dealing with complete twunks a lot of the time.
In reality, selling the bike for 1800 may compare favourably with reaping (say) 2500 in bits, but take out your costs (400) and you'll be doing a lot of work for a few hundred quid.
I'm geared up for it, and TBH it pays the beer tab whilst I'm out of work. Many people get rid of the nice bits quickly then end up with all manner of bits which end up being sold as a job lot, negating any potential "profit".

I understand your sentiments in not wanting to sell to break, but if you're looking for a quick fix?

    Hope that helps

    Cheers

good advice Paul.. the bling bits would fly out via the forums but as you say its the other bits that get stuck then its all the packing, couriers etc that takes time as well,

always wanted a yellow R but alas its not to be again..lol
