    Bleeding the rear brake

    It's still only a temporary fix ..
    The master cylinder is positioned too close to the header pies , and even fitting the little after market heat shield will not solve the problem ..
    The only effective way to restore your rear brake is to fit a set of rearsets , which will re-locate the master cylinder up and away from the heat ...
    I'v tried all the other options and , at best , only work for a limited time ..

    DOT 5.1 is working for me, 600 miles of hard riding getting really hot and there is still no sign of brake fade lol even locked the back the other day

    I would say for me on all three of my RSV's i've owned, Once I have bled the brakes as above I have not had the issue again. Maybe I have just been lucky

    bleed mine like above brake works well no fade even on long journeys, for the heat to affect the fluid in the master it would have to make it boil creating air bubbles , not sure what temp b/fluid boils at but sure its pretty hot poss hot enough to melt plastics and stuff
