    Loose oil filter fitting

    Hello guys.
After doing an oil and fliter change on my 02 Mille I was slightly conserned how the new filter went in.
I have replaced with an K&N - 152 (short style filter)
The push fit wasnt very reassuring and it just sort of sat there loose. Before putting the cover back on it was very easy to pull back out
The old one wasnt a tight fit to be fair but slightly better. It did look to be the same fitting as the one it replaced.
Is this anyting to worry about or are they often this way? I note that the end is right up aginst the cover so cant realy go anywhere / sit further off the intake.
    Thanks in advance,
    Si.

K&N wreck so many engines ! Imho their air filters are crap, they let in a lot of small particles and then block up and restrict the engine.....

Their oil filters are just cheap as shit Chinese crap rebated as their own, you get the best of shit Chinese quality with the cheap and nasty kand n name !

    Avoid K+N Oil filters

    Thanks for the reply.
Looking at that thread though, the first one is regarding the wrong length (not the issue I have) and the second is with them leaking. That will be the later canister type filters, not the type I have so I wont expirience that particular problem.

Yes, my problem is k&n just buy the cheapest crap, they don't make oil filters, quality is an issue with all their products imho.
The way I fit them is to push the filter into the housing(wedge it, it's designed to stick) you removed, then fit the filter and housing in the engine.
I have one engine with the small filter, and one with the large...

Google all the problems with kandn filters...
