    Bad news comes in 3's

    hi guys n gals.
not been on much lately, and when i have, ive not posted much.
also been a bit cranky,so i apologise to anyone i may have over reacted with,mr.beechy in perticular.
having had a serious kidney infection, followed by having the 2 discs removed from my back all recently, after never being hospitalised my whole life or seriously ill,ive now been diagnosed with the big c.
its claimed 3 members of my family already so i reckon i was expecting having it at some point in my life.
dont spose its sunk in proper yet or maybe im still coming to terms with the news.havent told my folks or anyone else in the family, just me and the wife know, think im gunna keep it that way too.
im not one for making a fuss and hate being pampered/moly coddled anyway.
plus i dont want my nan/gramps/bro/mum an dad worryin/fussin.

just letting you guys know i probably wont be on much, what with certain "treatments" on the horizon ect,all being well itll help, plus theres alot of stuff ive been putting off for years that i deffo wanna do now, just incase, cos you never know.

ill nip on soon, you fellas all make me lmfao, plus i adore bikes and biking and the whole biking community, its the only thing ive constantly been mad on since a young age.
i just want time with the wife in our new house and not use this as an excuse to maunge about feeling sorry for myself.

take care guys, and make the most of life, enjoy it and dont dwell on silly petty little things and fall out with your loved ones ect, life is so very precious,so love/live every minit of it.

    matt.

Hi really sorry to hear your news, runs in my family also, mum dad, brother, sister..
Sister inlaw had it 15 years ago and is fit as a fiddle, also my next door neighbour who's all claear and living life to the full..

So, what I'm saying is try not to think of it as a sentence, and try to look on the positive.(yes easy to say) but as I said my sister inlaw beat it and now lives life to the full, never at home always buggering off somewhere.

    All the very best

Yup stick with it bro. My sister beat it and two people at work did too. Treatment has come on a long long way in recent times and although it can be pretty unpleasant, succes levels of beating this kind of illness are at an all time high.

That was a hell of a post to read mate, so sorry to hear your news. Like the others above have said there's no definite ending to this and I think your attitude of doing all the things you have meant to and enjoying your wife/house is the way to go. There's a lot to be said for a positive mental attitude mate so go to it and enjoy every minute.

Thats shit news mate but try and be positive, treatments these days for cancer are much better now and when caught early enough can easily be beaten as others have posted, its no longer a certain death sentance like people used to think it was. You never said which cancer it is and each one is different, but i'm a firm believer that if you have a positive attitude towards any illness, not just cancer, then you will beat it. The power of the mind can be pretty powerful mate so keep your chin up and vent off on here as much as you like were all here for you

As others have also said, if you need a hand ,with anything, just give us a shout were not too far away

    'kin 'ell

not much any of us can say of course but like everyone else you've got my thoughts....best of luck all the way

worth saying at this time that i too have several friends / rellies who've come through completely and though i don't know you except from reading your posts etc but i pretty much can tell you're the type of fella who'll kick the f**ker into touch

... i can only imagine how tough it is but a positive attitude is the real key

    mike

PS no apologies needed - i can be a tactless c**t at the best of times
