    Newbie Signing in!

    Hey everyone,

Just thought I'd post a quick hello as I've just joined this site. I'm currently looking for a bike to get me back out on the open roads after a few years away and the RSV is so very tempting! Last bike I rode was a '98 ZX6R on the road which I sold in 2003 to put some more money into my racing which I did from 2002 - 2006 on board an FZR400RR.

    Cheers,
    Nige.

Thanks for the replies everyone, very welcoming. I am in touch with Big Un at the mo', but at present I have second refusal on the bike as he is waiting to hear back from someone else. Fingers crossed!

Some pics of me racing the FZR can be seen on the website I had - www.bainesy-racing.co.uk It seems this is no longer available.

http://www.fastrackimages.com/galler...h=nigel+baines This link has a few photos of racing at Aintree and Anglesey, but it's about all I can find on the web at the mo'!

Welcome to the (twilight) zone Bainsy..good to see you looking to purchase an RSV for your next machine. Great bike, you'll surely enjoy it lots.
If you get BigUNz, then you have an exceptionally well cared for RSV & is the fastest too, being Silver mate

Most of you are now probably aware that I have indeed bought BigUn's RSV. Just fitted it with a set of part worn Pirelli Diablo S'Corsa's today, 180/55 (Medium compound) and 120/70 (Soft compound) from a lad I used to race with and they have transformed the bike. This was mainly due to the fact that the old Bridgestone 014's were somewhat out of shape!! Steering is very neutral and predictable now, just need to get used to the handling of the bike. Looking forward to learning!!

Good to hear from you Bigun old mucker And Bainesy you wont go far wrong with Pirellis. I am running Diablo Supercorsa front and Corsa III rear and unless I hit the cowshit like I did near Looneytunes neck of the woods yesterday morning, it seems pretty well planted for now.
