    Wink Old boy saying hello

    Hi all,
Thought i would say hello, and a quick introduction.
Ive been riding of and on for most of my life.A few years back got back in the saddle after a long break. As im no longer a spring chicken i though i was passed sports bikes,so i bought a harley which i love to bits .Ive always wanted one, and its great bike and very good for cruising about, the wife comes out sometimes to which is great and was also an influence when i bought the bike.

Any way towards the end of last year, a friend of mine came round for a visit on an RSV Mille , I had been considering buying another bike for a bit of fun and when on my own and this was perfect,Great looking bike.
Well i bought a old shape 1999 black RSV mille and i love it,cant believe how easy and comfortable to ride the bike is i am absolutely hooked so i now believe i have the best of both worlds and thought i would say hi Guys

Welcome mate. Hog and a Mille - life doesn't get much better.
PS. Actually, Pat's quite new here so he doesn't know that the best of all RSVs built is the 01 model, in black. And that's official.

Welcome to The Zone fella, There's a whole host of mods that can be done to the RSV.

    See Caterpillars reply here

    http://www.rsvzone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6512

To start, I would suggest a new YTX14-BS battery, Yamaha starter solenoid and an Optimate 4. Change your gearing to 16/44 or 15/42 from your standard 17/42 and get a decent exhaust end can although from your avatar photo it appears you have a can already . These are excellent mods to start with.

Do a search a search and you'll come up with all the answers on which bits to go for

Welcome to RSVZone Pwall. It's a great site with lots of friendly, helpful folk.

To let you know how much this place kicks ass I won a Power Commander III here last year in a totally free raffle.

Just one click of the mouse and that was it. A few weeks later and it was delivered to my door.

    G'Day Greetings :-)

Yup like Sprocker the 16/44 gearing change is well worth it , if money is not an issue then you could fit an MPL Clutch slave cylinder and a #40 Oil jet.

or if you are a looney geriatric

A race can, Hooked's air box mod, a Gabro or Dr Rossi chip/power commander and finally a thorough fettle (of the bike not you personally), by Griff (Fusebox)

Tell me about it. One of the greatest single advances in public health was covering in the open sewers - now they let the bleedin' farmers spray human shit all over the fields - and right up my nose!
Mind you, it would take a whole tanker full of crap to make me think those '99 plastic panels are prettier than my gorgeous '01 grills, and as for which year has the sexiest rear light housing ...
Just ask Garvey, he's even trying to convert his

Welcome aboard to this mighty fine RSV Forum.

Nice to see a few more RSV's popping up in the South East of England.

Plenty of decent chappies will help out if you encounter any problems.

Your not far away from a few of us on here too.
