What tyre size have you got on it?

I've seen people on here say they get chain rubbing tyre probs with a 190 wide tyre. I have a 185 and no issues.

From what I've read on here it seems to be an issue with some makes of 190 wide tyre only. Is the rear wheel aligned properly?

I hope you get it sorted so you get the fun out of the bike that you want. Get the standard can changed too. Those things weigh as much as a small country and they stop the 'beast' from making a proper noise.

Have you checked the country code label on the subframe under the seat yet? Does it say 'JJ'?

If you stand on the left hand side of the bike and remove the rider seat it's visible on the upper part of the frame about 7-8 cm to the left of the seat bolt (i.e. it's above the left hand side panel). It could have come off at some point. It's just a sticker.

Sorry mate I don't have a spare race-type can but it's worth asking because they do change hands on here all the time.

If we all refuse to sell them then the price can only go up? I for one would probably try something else rather than get a 'new shape' RSV and I don't think I would be alone. The RSV100R can only be described as the last 'special edition' original RSV.........

Good that it's a JJ and good that you found a potential problem.

    Special indeed! lol

    Another one found

Hi robroy and welcome to the jj's

what tyres have you got fitted mate ive just put Diablo super corsa 3 on and chain clearance is good, there is a thread knocking around with others in your position i think a simple change of tyre manufacturer has solved most probs(but dont quote me cos ive a memory like a sieve)but its got something to do with rear wheel width.

I would def keep the APE it sometimes seems like a lot of hastle but that WILL be forgotten when youve got her in the twisties

i did have her on the twisties last week and loved it and so did the bike lol even with square tyres lol nearly got the chicken strip away lol the tyres is pilot powers thats on the bike i will just put on the same tyre as the front will last another back tyre and will change the pair when needed as i need a chain and sprockets aswell
