    can swap

I have a aprilia titanium evo can on my bike in excellent condition and fancy trying something else. This can is loud and my mates recon its the best sound ever, but they are not the one coming home from work at 6 in the morning waking everyone up on my street. If anyone fancys a swap i can arrange delivery for about 8 through courier. If you did not like the sound of this can i would be happy to swap back and vice versa i would hope. Not interested in standard cans.
Give me a shout if you fancy a swap.
Im sure a swap shop would work well through RSV.

    Hi Paynts,

Know exactly what you mean. I've just bought a shortened silencer and even with the baffles in it's bloody loud. My mates too say it's great but I found it embarrassing and irritating, (yeah I know, but i do have some sense of responsibility). After only 150 miles it's off and my street legal one is back on. (Not the Aprilia standard). Me and the neighbours are happy.

Your right with what you say BoB. I like to be noticed but would rather it was for the right reasons. Hate it if i pass a copper and try to make the bike quiet.
Then again on the other hand i like the noise when i pull up at the local bike meets.

So have you taken the Rene's off then?.

I'm finding my Renegades are not really any louder than the Blueflame I had that BIG UN now has and thats even with the baffles out.

Sure, they are loud at initial start up, but once the fast idle is knocked back a wee bit during warm up before setting off, they are deep and bassy, but not overly loud IMHO.

I then just shortshift very quickly up the gears and keep the throttle to a minimum until I get out the street, and thats usually at 07:00am.

No complaints as yet from the neighbours.

Yes, sold 'em on. It wasn't just the noise but also the way my right foot was pushed out.
I tried a Beowulf shortie but I just could not run in quiet mode. It was louder than the Renes, even with the baffle in. In fairness to Beowulf I was warned that, as the can is shorter it will be LOUD. Pity cos it looked fine.
