Still No Power Wheelies

On my 2016 RR, I have now broken it in. I dropped 1 tooth off the front. I have the Wheelie control set to 1, Traction to 2 and Launch control set to 3. When I nail the throttle the front end feels light, but doesn't come up. I almost feels like the wheelie control is kicking in, but at level 1, it should allow it to come up right? The dealer thinks they may have changed the mapping for 2016 for first gear. Anybody else see this? I haven't set the sag yet, and I may not be getting a good weight transfer, but seriously with 175hp at the rear wheel it should wheelie, right? Maybe there is something wrong, but it feels like the software is intervening. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm sure you should get some lift in WC1 unless you are getting wheel spin.
Try not using launch control & see what happens, if that doesn't get a wheelie turn WC off. - Then you will have to control it.

BTW according to the manual (page 84 in mine), during the initial stage of Launch Control the front wheel is kept close to the ground then during second stage it is allowed to lift for maximum acceleration.

I'm still running mine in so can't test for you.

There is another forum with much more activity & info, come over to 2010-2016 RSV4 - All Variants & have a look.:)

EDIT: You could check it on a dyno to see if it's producing full power.http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?306911-2015-RSV4RR-dynonumbers-from-SpoonValley-Racing

Hi Plocky! Tasmania! Cool been to Australia and NZ, but not there. I'm near San Francisco. So I turned the WC off and yeah, with the 14tooth, it wants to flip over. With the WC on 1, it oscillates between up and down about two inches off the ground. I just read a road test on a Tuono and they say it will hold a wheelie about one foot off the ground. Let me know what your does. Thanks. Congrats on buying a great bike. I just want to solve this mystery.
